I need free dental work

hopesplace started this conversation

I am a 52 year old female that is living on $9.00 per hour with no insurance of any kind.  I have not been able to afford to go to a dentist for several years now and I am in danger of losing enough teeth that I won't be able to eat.  I don't want to lose my teeth and have spent a lot of years and money trying to take care of them.  I have had my wisdom teeth pulled and am in danger of losing the only other teeth I can use to chew food. The back teeth on both sides of my mouth in the bottom of my mouth have broken apart.  They had so much filling in them and now they are just pieces left.  I can not chew anything for fear of breaking them even more and being in constant pain.  I just need to have the massive fillings put back in my mouth for the time being.  I can not afford to have crowns at this time and I just want to be able to keep the teeth.  Can you please help me.

in response to faith50...   Hello. Hang in there - you can do it. Do not let your mouth bring you down. The good news is that you have insurance, but I know most insurance providers will cap the yearly coverage at something relatively minimal. If the coverage cap is $1500, you will be responsible for 100% of everything over $3000. I have a few thoughts. First, since you have insurance, you are a step ahead of the game. Dental offices are like small businesses and will compete against each other for business. In short, shop around:). Once you know what is needed, call a bunch of local dentists and ask for estimates. You might be surprised to find differences. Second, consider splitting needed services over multiple years to take full advantage of your coverage. Let the dentist know you would like to split services into multiple sessions. Third, consider bartering services. Dental offices need all the basic services of any small business and might be willing to barter services. For example, perhaps you could help with their marketing, office cleaning, phone reminders, etc. in exchange for dental work. One last thought is to try nearby dental clinics and dental schools. Clinics and schools offer discounted services. Hope this helps. Take care and God Bless!

I am sooo tired of all the BU--S--T. I would like to try and see if I can't start a new kind of revaloation!!!!!! THE REVALOATOIN I AM TALKING ABOUT IS GETTING EVERY-ONE TO START TELLING THE "TRUTH "TO EACH OTHER .
I tell ever-one what I think and believe no matter if it hurt's a little or not , because I think and believe that helping your neighbor is the right thing to do,and if they can help me with funds then that is great but I don't need to get paid to give what I can give . I live in a 55+ trailer park and thats what I do here to help, if my neighbor can pay me, again I "LOVE " but they don't have to . "NOW I WANT TO PUT A CHALANGE TO EACH AND EVERY-ONE THAT READS THIS, AND I DAIR YOU TO GO OUT AND GIVE SOME-ONE THE HELP THAT THEY NEED .
NOW I DON'T WANT YOU JUST TOGO OUT AND GIVE OUT MONEY TO EVER-ONE , LIKE THOSE PANHANDLER'S THAT STAND OUT ON MOST EVERY CORNER OF AMERICA ,BUT IF YOU CAN GIVE A PERSON A HAND-UP AND NOT A HAND-OUT GO AND DO IT, DON'T LIE TO ANY-ONE EVEN IF IT HURTS THERE FEELINGS A LITTLE. IT IS BETTER TO TELL THE TRUTH , IT REALLY WILL MAKE YOU A BETTER PERSON . IF THIS IS SOOOOOO HARD FOR YOU TO DO THEN I TRUELLY PRAY THAT SOME DAY YOU CAN REGAIN YOUR HEART AND SOUL .
MAY GOD BLISS YOU AND KEEP YOU HEALTHER THEN ME .

in response to ragingmad...   Hello. Are you on the Medicaid or Medicare? If you are on Medicaid, I believe they will cover one set of dentures over a certain period of time (need to confirm). Have you checked with Medicaid? Take care and God Bless!

I'm a 57yr. young man and I have dentures that needs relined because I can't even cough without coughing them out, and it's hard keeping them in trying to eat ,the denture glues that are to help holding them in doesn't work anymore and I am at my wits end. I live in So. Or. and I really need help.  I live with H.I.V. , C.O.P.D. and HEP-C, and living on Social Security Disabilty and medacare it kind of makes hard to go to a dentist with the rising cost of everthing. If you can help find dental care for me I would LOVE YOU VERY MUCH, AND THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

in response to froggy1979...   If you can show an extra expense for $60 per month, do so and try to re-apply. I have seen this with others and I think it stinks:). Great to hear you have been evaluated. The next step is to break it down into smaller more manageable components. You can do it!:) Take care and God Bless!

in response to aussiehoney...   I can relate to your situation, I too need alot of dental work am in extreme pain I have been living on painkillers (Tramadol) for almost a year. I went to a dentist last May 2011 and when they were doing xrays they broke a tooth on the side and now it is decaying and is very painful. I also am petrified of the dentist and would like to find someone who would put me under anesthesia but the dentists who help people with no money won't do that because it's so expensive, which I feel is wrong, just because we don't have money shouldn't mean we can't get the same care as people who do. I would like to stay in contact with you so you can keep me updated and I can keep you updated and hopefully both of us can get our teeth taken care of be able to eat, live and not be in pain any longer. My name is Darlene and my email address is purrfectmeow54@gmail.com. I am also on FB and I live in NJ so if you are on FB that's how you can find me. Stay in touch and good luck hon

I am 32 and disabled since i was 23,i have a disorder called cyclic vomiting syndrome and it have caused my teeth to deteriate and i have 17 teeth left that im tring to save. I need a root canal to save my last molar i have and do not have any way to pay for it. I already do not have the ability to eat on the left side of my mouth due to only having one tooth on that side. I am young and when i smile all you see it open space and it is very un nerving. I need help very bad. I have been recieving ssd since i was 23 but even my ssd has put me 60 dollars over the limit for state assistance and that is sad. Any help would be a miracle from God. I have had 39 surgeries since i was 16 and have already had to file bankrupcy because my medical bills were costing me every penny i had and i was still being hounded by 30 or more collection calls a day. I have many medical problems and still pay out almost 500 a month in medical cost between doctor bills and medication. If i dont get a little help ill never make it.

in response to gum...   Hang in there! Are you on any government programs? Try to meet with any local dentist for a free evaluation (most will offer one). An evaluation will give you a baseline to let you know what is needed. Take care and God Bless!

Iam a 42 year old returning college student and I ahve the most horrible teeth you have ever seen. The worst part is Iam studying radiology and in the clinical part of my education and my x-ray patients notice. My instructors and hospital officials do as well. I ahve a 16 year old son who needs me to earn a better living and Iam trying to better myself, but my teeth are holding me back. They are horribly unsightly, and I don't think my chances of gaining employment are gonna be very good with such an unsightly smile. Iam unemployed presently and could sure use a miracle. Iam being ridiculed by the younger, more attractive students every day. But, I keep my head up and keep on tryin for the sake of my wonderful son whom I love more than life itself. Please help me if you have the resources. i will give back 10 fold in my service to the community as a x-ray tech and C.T. tech. Thanks ; Johnthehammer70

in response to billy98...   Hi billy98. I have helped people in the past with a checkered past. Nonetheless, the prison system will only help with the bare dental needs. Sounds like you have served your time and came away with something extra - busted teeth. Since you have a skilled trade, you might be in luck! I have seen many people barter services over the years for various services including dental work:). Call nearby dentist and let them know you would like to barter services - dental work in exchange for a concrete patio. Since Spring is in the air, I suspect you will find someone willing to barter. Take care and God Bless!
